  My boyfriend and I stopped here for a bite to eat after a camping trip in Moon bay. It was a laid back and relaxed place and the two who were working (I think they owned it) were very nice, talkative and made us feel like family. Robert I believe his name was seems to love what he does and made the experience that much better, I had a good time talking with him. We got the mushroom caps for a starter and they were good. For our meal we shared the 3 piece haddock with chips and coleslaw. It was one of the best I've ever had if not the best. The homemade tarter was absolutely amazing. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are big. If you're used to a very fast paced impersonal restaurant, this might not be the place for you. We can't wait to go back.

  Stopped here on the way to the cottage. Extremely convenient location right off the 400 on the way to Parry Sound, but would have been easy to miss without google maps.
  
  Got the mushroom caps as an appetizer, a personal favorite. These were very good, not an overly heavy batter. We also got to try deep fried pickle spears courtesy of the owner, they were even better than the mushrooms.
  
  For the main we did a seafood platter for the 3 of us which was the perfect amount of food. The shrimps and scallops were large and tasty. The halibut and haddock were good but we agreed we enjoyed the other items better. The fries were as good as any I've had at a fish and chips place. Homemade coleslaw, tartar sauce and seafood sauce were excellent. My favorite was a sweet chili thai sauce which the owner admitted was store bought. Also took a coconut cream pie to go.
  
  You will get 5 star service here, the owner and his family/staff were very talkative which we appreciated. It was a very homey atmosphere, service with a smile.
  
  All in all, great alternative to usual fast food stops along the highway and I see myself returning on future cottage trips.

  We have eaten at the Schoolhouse many times, it has always been delicious. Its the best fish and chips around and the portions are huge. Rob the owner is a very entertaining host, always fun to eat there.Can't wait till they open for the season!
